WELCOME TO SPECTRUM HOCKEY SKILLS ACADEMY
About Us
Since the inception of the The Spectrum Hockey Skills Academy in 2005 participation has grown to over 90 student-athletes in grades 9 – 12. It is structured and dedicated to not only training and developing players to reach the next level in the sport of hockey, but also to support the academic and citizenship potential of every student-athlete. Both on-ice and off-ice programs are intensive in their design in developing hockey skills, tactics, physical strength, speed, endurance and mental performance.
Educators & instructors are passionate towards supporting each athlete in meeting their potential in academics, developing healthy lifestyle habits, and strong leadership skills as citizens in the community. Students selected to participate in Spectrum Hockey Skills Academy must provide evidence of good progress in their academic subject areas, socially responsible behavior, along with good work ethic and positive attitude.

Program Testimonials
“The Spectrum Hockey Program has been a foundation of our boy’s personal development and success on and off the ice.”
“It wasn’t ‘just about the hockey.’ The program offered our boys the opportunity to be disciplined, respectful, learn how to stay on task & time, and shaped them into grounded athletes on and off the ice.”
“What sets the Spectrum Hockey Academy apart from any other is the way they stress academics, supporting your peers, and attention to detail.”
“The dedication, commitment, and character building from hard work that was expected of him through his 4 years of the Spectrum Hockey Academy have served him well and are life skills that he will always have.”
“What we didn’t realize at the time was how much the program prepares these guys for what lies ahead. Learning to be accountable on and off the ice, balancing school, organizing his time, and being a dedicated athlete was invaluable for Nolan as an 18 year old Freshman at the University of Michigan.”
